Following the induction, Alpha Epsilon Delta held an informal dinner where students were able to get to know one another better and to hear more about some of the club’s service opportunities.

This year’s inductees are Audrey Dutton, Katie Huynh, and Emma Sentell.

“We are so excited to welcome these new members who are already extremely involved in the Lee community through sports, scientific research, and various other clubs,” said Taylor Odum, scalpel reporter and historian for the Lee chapter.

Alpha Epsilon Delta encourages and recognizes excellence in preprofessional health scholarship and service. The chapter began at Lee November of 2020.

“As future healthcare professionals, we want to use our gifts and talents to serve God and to serve others, so being a member of Alpha Epsilon Delta allows us to refine our skills and equips us to make an eternal difference in our community,” said Corban Anderson, president of Alpha Epsilon Delta.

Membership is open to students majoring in a health preprofessional curriculum leading to careers in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, podiatry, optometry, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and other health professions requiring post-baccalaureate study leading to advanced degrees and is based on scholastic achievement. Student members must complete community service hours each semester.

Alpha Epsilon Delta provides a forum for students to interact with members in other chapters across the United States, establish contacts in the healthcare profession, and be considered for AED scholarships.
