News

Alpha Chi, a national academic honor society at Lee University, will host its annual academic showcase on Tuesday, March 25. The event will take place at 6:30 p.m. in the Rose Lecture Hall, which is located in Lee’s Helen DeVos College of Education.

The Alpha Chi Academic Showcase will feature undergraduate students presenting their academic research and creative composition in 8-10 minute presentations. Upon presentation, the students will be judged by a panel of their peers and faculty sponsors.

Students with the best presentations, as determined by the panel of judges, will receive cash prizes for first, second, and third place.

Alpha Chi is a coeducational academic honor society. Since 1922 its purpose has been to promote academic excellence and exemplary character among college and university students and to honor those who achieve such distinction. Alpha Chi is open to the top ten percent of students at member colleges and universities.

Dr. Thomas Pope, assistant professor of political science, and Dr. John Wykoff, assistant professor of music, serve as the faculty sponsors for Lee’s chapter of Alpha Chi.

For more information on the academic showcase, please email Pope at [email protected] or Wykoff at [email protected].
