Accepting Nominations for Alum of the Year

The Office of Alumni Relations is accepting nominations for the 2016 Lee University Distinguished Alumnus of the Year. This award is an opportunity to recognize the extraordinary range of achievements by Lee alumni who have made valuable contributions to the University, their communities, and to their professions. Nominations are accepted from alumni, faculty, staff and friends of the University with a deadline of July 31 to be considered for the award, which is presented during the first weekend in November, Homecoming. Eligibility for Award

Persons who have earned college credit from any of the departments or schools either now or previously a part of the Lee University academic structure are eligible for nomination. This includes any affiliate organizations considered part of Lee University.

To be considered:

1. Nominees will have distinguished themselves in their chosen field of endeavor.

2. Nominees will have made significant contributions to their communities, on a local, state, national or international level.

3. Nominees will have demonstrated integrity in their personal lives and gained the respect of those surrounding them.

Note:

– Major consideration will be given to nominees who have demonstrated a connection to Lee University through volunteer activities (i.e., recruiting, mentoring students, guest lecturing, non-material support, and volunteer boards, etc.).

– Major consideration will be given to nominees who have demonstrated a belief in the mission and purpose of Lee University through philanthropic support of the University.
