2011 Homecoming Golf Classic
Golfers are invited to be a part of Lee University’s 3rd annual Alumni Golf Classic at Chatata Valley Golf Course on Friday, Nov. 4.
All funds raised from the tournament will be used to support the Lee University student food bank. The entry fee for each golfer is $50 and a box lunch will be provided.
Players can register as a team ($200) or individually. Those who register individually will be assigned to a team and notified of their assignment Friday morning.
The tournament will be played in a four-man scramble format, where four players play together as a team. Every player will tee off from the tee box. Team members will then select the best shot of the four and all players will begin their second shot from that location. They will continue playing until the hole is completed. The scores will be recorded and the same rules will apply for the remainder of the holes.
Participants have the opportunity to purchase two mulligans the day before play commences, but they cannot be used on the greens. All players must tee off from the specified tees and shots operate under club length forgiveness.
Once play is complete, the teams will be separated into two flights (A & B) with prizes awarded to top teams in each flight. Additional prizes to be awarded for longest drive, closest to the pin, and hole-in-one.
Registration begins at 7:45 a.m. Chatata Valley Golf Course is located at 4179 Benton Pike NE Cleveland, Tenn.
