Act as receptionist for the department chair and department.

Meet deadlines on yearly Academic Event/Event Calendar from the VPAA’s office.
-
Coordinate department events, travel, and meetings.
-
Build class schedule for upcoming semesters by entering course offerings.
-
Compile information for faculty workload profiles and reports.
-
Supervise and train student worker(s).
-
Manage department budgets, vouchers, transfers, and purchase orders.
-
Maintain an electronic filing system for the department.
-
Maintain information in full-time, adjunct, and part-time faculty files.
-
Process faculty Overload payroll, part-time faculty payroll, student employee time review and approval.
-
Prepare part-time faculty contracts, full-time summer contracts.
-
Prepare third-year review, retention, and promotion packets.
-
Schedule and administer faculty student course evaluations.
-
Review and edit department information in the university catalog.
-
Report maintenance and custodial needs for the department.
-
Purchase and stock faculty office supplies.
-
All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

Mature, committed Christian with an understanding of and commitment to the mission of Lee University.

Demonstration of ethical, moral, and professional behavior in the office environment

A positive and flexible attitude.

Excellent organizational skills with the ability coordinate a wide variety of tasks, set and meet deadlines, and pay close attention to detail.

Prompt management of tasks given by department chair.

Ability to maintain confidential files and information in accordance with FERPA regulations.
-
Willingness to respond to faculty needs in a timely and professional manner
-
Strong word processing and database management skills (prefer at least intermediate experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, web page editors, electronic mail, and Internet functions/services). Experience with Lee University’s data system (Colleague) is preferred.

Ability to handle interruptions calmly and professionally.

Ability to input and keep accurate records, compose timely reports, and ensure reliability and completeness of information.

Ability to accomplish complex tasks, prioritize responsibilities and meet deadlines
-
Ability to respond positively to constructive criticism, guidance, and suggestions for improvement regarding performance.

Bachelor’s degree preferred.
-
Previous administrative and customer service experience, preferably in an academic setting.
