Performs financial and administrative tasks related to the day-to-day operations of billing and collections. Acts as an advisor to students and families in regards to financial planning.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Advise students and families with financial planning throughout the year as needed.
- Oversee student refunds, which may include (but not limited too) refund entry and responding to refund questions.
- Review/analyze monthly student accounts receivable statements to check for billing and other errors.
- Oversees the allocation and disbursement of student deposits.
- Processes student withdrawals for SFS.
- Serves as liaison to billing service and collection agencies.
- Responsible for collection and follow-up of all accounts assigned prior to, during, or after graduation or withdrawal from the university.
- Process 1098-T forms for all students on an annual basis.
- Balance and reconcile general ledger collection and bad debt accounts.
- Serve as liaison to our Lee Online during times of registration.
- Generate, review, analyze, reconcile, and process reports and accounts related to student accounts receivable.
- Complete other projects and functions as assigned by the Director.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field
- At least 3 years of experience in accounts receivable (higher education experience preferred)
- Knowledge of FERPA and federal cash management regulations
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of all student information
- Knowledge of Excel in order to build and illustrate financial reports, comparisons, and/or projections
