The Curriculum and Faculty Support Specialist aids with the development and maintenance of Lee Online curriculum, along with supporting the faculty development and management processes of the online faculty. This position works with the Instructional Design and Technology team, subject matter experts, publishers, campus bookstore, Student Financial Services, and others in the curriculum development process.  The position also works with the Lee Online Executive Director’s office to provide course scheduling, faculty development, and online faculty management assistance.  Helps in providing outstanding customer service to Lee Online constituencies.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate with bookstore and publishers regarding print options, digital options, third-party platforms, and course packs to provide accessible, affordable day-one access for students whenever possible.
  • Liaise with library staff on OER and other library resources that are utilized in online curriculum.
  • Update and maintain syllabi and curriculum database for Lee Online and Acadeum Consortium, including history of courses, relevant updates, included textbooks/ platforms, and any interactive activities and advanced grading rubrics added to courses.
  • Assist with course section building and cross-listing processes.
  • Coordinate and connect tutors with online publishing platforms to provide student support for the Enrollment and Student Support team.
  • Supports onboarding and mentoring of new online faculty.
  • Coordinate with Instructional Design and Technology team to support student and faculty requests, LMS and publisher platforms, session preparation, and importing.
  • Collaborate with Academic Departments/Schools on online faculty development and management, plus online syllabus changes.
  • Assist with special projects and other duties as needed, including delivering asynchronous tutorials and presentations for the annual faculty seminar and other faculty meetings.

  • High attention to detail with the ability to handle complex tasks and prioritize responsibilities to meet deadlines.
  • Present a professional appearance and attitude that is positive and flexible.
  • Possess a high degree of computer literacy with thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, related office software, Outlook email, LMS, H5P, and Articulate Rise.
  • Ability to respond positively to constructive criticism, guidance, and suggestions for improvement regarding performance.

EDUCATION and/ or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • One year of clerical/office experience in higher education or related field.
  • Excellent telephone skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power Point, Microsoft Publisher, Adobe Suite, and ability to translate skills to other course authoring software.
  • Familiarity using Moodle or other Learning Management Systems.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent organization skills.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Attention to confidentiality.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work without supervision.
  • Self-starter.

Keyboarding, talking and repetitive motions.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This is an office environment and the noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
