The Department of Mathematical Sciences at Lee University invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position in engineering to begin in August of 2024.  

The primary responsibilities for this position include teaching introductory and upper-division courses. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in shaping the curriculum for a new engineering major. We are seeking someone who is eager to make an immediate and substantial impact on the program’s growth. Other duties include overseeing undergraduate projects, engaging in scholarly activities, advising students, participating in university and community service, and collaborating with departmental colleagues to complement the department’s current strengths.

Applicants for this position must possess a minimum of a Master’s degree in an engineering discipline. Preference will be given to candidates with a Ph.D., and holding a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is highly desirable. Additionally, candidates who demonstrate the ability and willingness to teach courses in related fields such as computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry will be viewed favorably.

Other required qualifications include Christian commitment, demonstrated college teaching ability, and an ability to integrate elements of the Christian faith into course materials. Professional experience is beneficial but not required. Individuals from underrepresented populations are strongly encouraged to apply.
