Lee University invites applications for a faculty position in its Master’s Program in Athletic Training, beginning August, 2024. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the academic and clinical experiences of graduate students in our expanding Master’s Program.

Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching graduate-level courses in Athletic Training and undergraduate courses in Pre-Athletic Training and or Exercise Science/Sports Management. The candidate will also be involved in administrative duties as assigned by the Program Director, assist in clinical supervision as assigned by the Clinical Coordinator, mentoring and advising students, and contributing to the ongoing development and enhancement of the Master’s Program curriculum.

Qualifications:

  • A Terminal degree (Ph.D., Ed.D., or equivalent) in Athletic Training or a related field is preferred. Doctoral candidates will be considered.
  • Board of Certification (BOC) certification and eligibility for Tennessee state licensure.
  • Two years of teaching excellence at the undergraduate and/or graduate level.
  • Experience in advising and mentoring graduate students.
  • Experience with curriculum development and program assessment at the graduate level.
  • Clinical experience and expertise in specialized areas of Athletic Training.
  • Knowledge of accreditation processes related to Athletic Training education programs.
  • Established independent research agenda and record of quality publications in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, problem-solving, and student counseling skills.
  • Candidates must be able to support and promote the university’s mission.
