Registering for online classes is easy. We offer convenient annual enrollment, making it possible for you to enroll for an entire academic year at once (fall through summer). Your schedule will consist of six, 7-week sessions, allowing you to complete a 4-year degree in 3 years and 4 months!

Undergraduate and Graduate

New Students

Once you've been accepted to Lee Online, an initial advisor will help you construct a course schedule and register you for courses depending on the advising track of your major. He or she will also evaluate any previous coursework you've completed at other institutions to ensure you receive credit where possible. You will then receive your schedule via email and are free to adjust it any time prior to the start of classes.

Once your initial schedule is developed, you are assigned a permanent academic advisor. This advisor will continue to work with you and help you enroll in future sessions.

Returning Students

If you are a returning student, you will work with your academic advisor to schedule your courses and enroll for an entire academic year. This annual enrollment simplifies the registration process for you, requiring you to contact your advisor only once per year to enroll in all of your courses. However, advisors are available year-round for all students.

Down Payment

You are required to make a down payment of $225 for the academic year in which you are enrolling. If you are receiving financial aid and your award amount exceeds your total bill, contact the Financial Aid Office with any questions concerning this coverage

Course Check-In

You must check in to each of your online courses in order to verify enrollment. Check-in is usually available one week prior to the start date of the class and can be completed through Moodle.

  1. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online beginning January 1.
  2. Apply for admission to Lee University.
  3. Check on the status of your financial aid and submit any additional documents if necessary.
  4. Review your award letter.
  5. Complete the Federal Direct Loan Entrance Counseling and Master Promissory Note (MPN) online if borrowing federal loans.
  6. Apply for private scholarships from your high school, employer (and parents’ employer), church, community, organizations with which you are involved, and online.
  7. Other Loan Options: Apply beginning July 1 to cover any remaining balance.

Admission to Lee University is based on the completion of an official application and evidence that the applicant possesses the qualities needed for satisfactory achievement in terms of character, ability, academic foundation, purpose, and personality. To be eligible for admission, the applicant must have graduated from high school or satisfactorily completed the GED test, AND have three (3) years of life experience beyond high school graduation. All persons who register at Lee University are required to file an application. Acceptance of students is based upon discernible qualities and potential. The university admits students regardless of race, color, national origin, religious preference or disability. The purpose of the Associate of Science in Business program is to provide students the opportunity to explore coursework that will prepare them for business studies at the bachelor’s level. The Associate of Science in Business will also provide a Christian liberal arts base for additional collegiate coursework.

The accounting program is designed to equip students with broad training and intensive preparation for the practice of accounting. The coursework focuses on the principles and theories that support preparation of financial statements according to U.S. and international accounting principles with information that supports the decision-making process of internal and external users. The program incorporates accounting standards, financial statement preparation, managerial accounting, budgeting, taxation, accounting information systems, auditing, governmental and not-for-profit accounting concepts. The curriculum is designed with consideration given to preparation for the CPA exam.

Admission​

Lee Online was created to serve students with three years of experience beyond high school. Students who do not meet this requirement must appeal for a waiver. Students at LEADs or Regional Schools of Leadership do not need to appeal.

The Master of Arts in Ministry Studies at Lee University provides a program of study that combines practical studies and practical ministry. Masters of Arts in TESOL

The MA in TESOL at Lee is a fully online graduate program in TESOL designed to prepare leaders in the field of TESOL for service in a wide range of settings. Many MATESOL programs offer only basic knowledge in TESOL, but the program at Lee University is for students who already have a foundation in TESOL, through coursework or experience.

The MA program can be completed in a calendar year—beginning in the summer and finishing in May the following year. It can also be taken at a slower pace if desired. The program is offered online, so it is maximally flexible for students who are already working or live distant from the Cleveland campus.

Master of Science, Marriage and Family Studies (Lee Online) (MFSOL.MS) 

At the end of the master’s degree program in marriage and family studies, the graduate should have acquired the necessary advanced skills, knowledge, and experience to:

  • Administer programs designed to provide support to families in a wide variety of community service settings.
  • Collect data about individuals, couples, and families through the use of interviews, case histories, psychometric instruments, observational techniques, and relational methods.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of human development across the lifespan.
  • Effectively communicate with diverse cultural groups.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of special needs populations (e.g., persons in poverty, physical abuse victims, substance abusers, and juvenile offenders).

Program Of Study

The program is composed of a minimum of four semesters of approved graduate study. The typical full-time student will complete the program by following a two-year track. A minimum of 36 semester hours is required. The program core provides educational preparation in human growth and development, human sexuality, systems theory, and research. This program is not intended for those seeking licensure. Rather, this is an ideal program for those wanting to work in administrative roles in family service agencies or in family ministries at a church.
