Senior Showcase Opens at Squires

News

The annual Lee University Senior Showcase will host its opening reception this Thursday, April 14 from 4-6 p.m. in the Squires Library, located on Lee’s campus.

The showcase is a time for senior art majors at Lee to present the results of their hard work to the community. Three graduating seniors, Charissa Barnett, Lindsey Franklin, and Marisa Goodman, and one junior art education major, Amelia Range, will have their work on display until Friday, May 6.

“We feel that the work of this year’s graduates is excellent and shows a lot of growth in the student’s particular area of interest,” said John Simmons, assistant professor of art and art discipline coordinator. “They have worked hard and have some outstanding pieces to show for their efforts.”

The show will consist of paintings and drawings that use a variety of techniques, along with other mixed media pieces.

The showcase is free and open to the public.
