Dr. Brian Mattson joined Lee’s Communication Arts Department in 2021. He came to Lee with a diverse academic and vocational background including holding advanced degrees in theology and communication, teaching in higher education, and serving as a lead pastor. In addition, he serves on occasion various publishing entities as a content editor and creator. Mattson’s research interests include exploring the intersection of theology and communication, media ecology, communication theory, and the rhetoric of hope.
