This program qualifies candidates to be a special educator in many settings, particularly geared toward early childhood and early primary grades. Candidates in this specialty area will take courses such as Young Children (0-8) with Developmental Disabilities and Child Development.

Capstone

The Capstone course is designed to help graduating students integrate their faith with the academic knowledge they have gained throughout their studies. It is regarded as the final reflection of the essential Core Values of Lee University. 

Home/Location

Students will spend most of their time in the Helen DeVos College of Education and in local schools. 

Internships/Practicum

Senior year requires clinical practice involving Methods and fulltime student teaching or internships.
