Pride & Prejudice
Thursday, April 3 is the
opening night for Pride & Prejudice,
based on the novel by Jane Austin and directed by Dr. Mark Burnette.
Jane Austen’s classic story
is presented in a delightful new stage adaptation. Austen’s novel chronicles
the adventures of the five Bennett sisters and their quest for husbands in
class-conscious 19th century England. At the center of the action is the
reluctant romance of headstrong Elizabeth Bennet and her equal match Mr. Darcy.
With romance and humor, this timeless story of love and misunderstanding brings
to life all the majesty and splendor of one of the great English novels.
Pride & Prejudice is a delightful play appropriate for the entire family.
