Enchanted
AprilEnchanted April, Lee University’s spring drama, will
begin Thursday, April 12 and will run through April 21, in a series of six
performances. Elizabeth Von Arnim’s 1921 novel “Enchanted April” has been
adapted into a play filled with fantasy and liberation for the soul, making it
clever and enchanting.
This captivating performance is set in 1922, when Lotty Wilton is a drawn to a
small newspaper advertisement about a small castle. Immediately deciding that
the offer is just what she needs, Lotty impetuously invites three friends to go
with her. The second half of the play is set on the terrace of the Italian
castle in San Salvatore. The time spent in the picturesque setting allows all
four women to rediscover themselves, learn about love, and allow the chance for
new growth in their lives.
The cast members of Enchanted April are: Jennifer Ervin, Tiffany Turpin, Zach
Rose, Josh Waddell, Laura Northcutt, Daryn Jackson, Jonathan Zajas, and
Stephanie Alexandrou.
