Lee University Theatre’s Production of Enchanted April- April 12-14 &
19-21 at 7:30 pm in Dixon Center Auditorium.
Elizabeth
Von Arnim’s 1921 novel Enchanted April has been adapted into a play filled with
fantasy and liberation for the soul, making it clever and enchanting. This
captivating production is set in 1922 and opens with Lotty Wilton drawn to a
newspaper advertisement about a small castle for rent in the month of April.
Immediately deciding that the offer is just what she needs, she impetuously
invites three women to go with her. The second half of the play is set on the
terrace of the Italian castle in San Salvatore. The time spent in the
picturesque setting allows all four women to rediscover themselves, learn about
love, and allow the chance for new growth in their lives.
