• Storms Hall is an apartment-style residence hall located next to the intramural fields. This hall features two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartments with an open-concept living room, and kitchen area, and its own heating and air unit. The kitchen comes complete with a refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave, and cabinet space. There is an extended countertop in the kitchen with bar stools to serve as an eating area. Residents must provide their own living room furniture and kitchen supplies. The bedrooms are equipped with two extra-long twin beds, two desks with chairs, two chests of drawers, and a large closet. At the residents’ own expense, a local cable company can be contacted for cable services. Coin/card-operated laundry facilities and lounges are located on the second and third floors, with a community cable television available in the third floor lounge.

    Megan Allen,
    Resident Director

I became an RD because I wanted to help create a space where students felt they belonged and would feel safe enough to learn in the midst of a lot of life transition. I hope that residents will walk away with a sense of confidence in who they are as an individual, but also a sense of respect for those whom they share common space with. My favorite part about working with students are the unexpected conversations, the intentional moments in Small Group, the victories in Intramurals and the shared emotions over everyday life events.

    Becoming Genuine - Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
"9 Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: 10 If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. 11 Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? 12 Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken."

    Community Outreach

This year we will be partnering with "Second Life" Chattanooga. This organization works to help rescue victims of human trafficking and bring awareness to this issue. We have chosen this organization because it is something that we are passionate about, recognizing that this particular issue doesn't just affect a certain demographic, gender, or culture. It is something that has a far reaching devastating effect and we are thankful for the opportunity to partner with them as they work to help these victims have a second chance.
