  • About the Hall

Simmons Hall is conveniently located on the Pedestrian Mall next to the Deacon Jones Dining Hall. Residents enjoy close proximity to classroom buildings, the Science and Math Complex, and the DeVos Student Recreation Complex. Each bedroom contains two extra-long twin beds, two chests of drawers, two desks with chairs, two closets, and a sink/vanity. Students have access to a furnished TV lounge and community kitchen on each floor. The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, and a stove/oven, and cabinet space. Renovated community bathrooms and showers, along with coin/card-operated laundry facilities, are also located on each floor. A unique feature of Simmons Hall is that it is connected by a hallway to Nora Chambers and Tharp Hall.

Meet the RD | Lauren Jespersen

"I became an RD because I love having the opportunity to challenge students to think deeply about their lives and then watch them grow. My hope is that students find my residence halls to be a place where they feel valued and safe to be vulnerable as they discover the many facets of who they are."

    Community Outreach

Simmons has partnered with The ESL Program at Westwood Baptist Church. They teach English as a second language to many people throughout the local Cleveland area. We have helped with finding students to volunteer regularly on Wednesday nights to either teach or help watch children. Additionally, we have raised money that will go to purchasing books for the students.
