• Brinsfield Row provides an increased level of independence, yet maintains community connectedness with residential living support. Each four-person townhouse has two bedrooms located upstairs. The bedrooms are equipped with two extra-long twin beds, two desks with chairs, two chests of drawers, and two closets. A bathroom featuring a combination bathtub-shower is located between the bedrooms. The main level features a large open-concept living room and kitchen complete with refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, and stove/oven. An extended kitchen counter with bar stools is provided. A washer and dryer are located in each apartment for no additional charge, and each apartment has its own heating and air unit. The main level has a half-bath for visitors, along with a linen closet. Residents provide their own living room furniture and kitchen supplies. At the residents’ own expense, a local cable company can be contacted for cable services.

    Meagan Allen,
    Resident Director

"I became an RD because I wanted to help create a space where students felt they belonged and would feel safe enough to learn in the midst of a lot of life transition. I hope that residents will walk away with a sense of confidence in who they are as an individual, but also a sense of respect for those whom they share common space with. My favorite part about working with students are the unexpected conversations, the intentional moments in Small Group, the victories in Intramurals and the shared emotions over everyday life events."

    Theme/ Focus

    Becoming Genuine - Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
"9 Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: 10 If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. 11 Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? 12 Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken."

    Community Outreach

This year we will be partnering with "Second Life" Chattanooga. This organization works to help rescue victims of human trafficking and bring awareness to this issue. We have chosen this organization because it is something that we are passionate about, recognizing that this particular issue doesn't just affect a certain demographic, gender, or culture. It is something that has a far reaching devastating effect and we are thankful for the opportunity to partner with them as they work to help these victims have a second chance.
