The Helen DeVos College of Education at Lee University is accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE), www.ncate.org.This accreditation covers initial teacher preparation programs at Lee University.However, the accreditation does not include individual education courses that the institution offers to P-12 educators for professional development, licensure, or other purposes.Teacher education programs are approved by the Tennessee State Department of Education for licensure. Lee’s Department of Business became recognized by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs when its program was accredited by the ACBSP in 2008. Lee’s PR Program received its Certification in Education for Public Relations in 2011 from the largest public relations association in the world, the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).
