Single elimination,
all teams with less than two forfeits will
qualify
Rules
A match will consist of the best two of three
games to 15 points. The deciding game will
be played using rally scoring.
A team must be serving to score points during
rally scoring, where a point is awarded on
every play.
A team must consist of at least four players,
but no more than six, to begin the match.
A team must rotate in a clockwise direction upon
gaining the side out. Failure to rotate or
serving out of rotation will result in loss of
serve.
The server must put the ball in play from behind
the end line and within the two
sidelines.
A ball that passes outside the antennae is out.
The ceiling:
If Team A hits the ball over the net, but the ball hits
the ceiling,
Team B wins the rally.
If Team A hits the ceiling and the ball stays on
their side, the ball is live
(assuming Team A has a contact left).
During play each team is allowed three contacts
to return the ball. A block is not
considered a contact. Back row players are not
allowed to block.
Front row players may attack the ball as long as
the ball is on their side of the court or
has reached the plane of the net. Back row players
may attack the ball below the height of the net or
behind the attack line.
Players may not distract or interfere with the
opponents attempting to play the ball.
The ball may be played with any part of the
body. A double contact is allowed on the
first team contact as long as there is only one
attempt to play the ball.
Players may not touch the net at any time.
Players may substitute in by one of two ways:
By rotating in at the point of serve. The front
left player rotates out and the new
player will serve. A player will rotate out each
time.
Substituting one player for another at any time
during the game.
Each team has one time out per game.
