Single elimination,
all teams with less than two forfeits will
qualify
Rules
Each team may play up to four players and a goal
keeper on the court at one time. A
team needs at least four total players to avoid a
forfeit.
All games will consist of two 15 minute halves.
There will be a 2 minute halftime.
The clock will run continuously except in the
event of an injury or official’s time out.
Ties will not be broken in regular season play.
A tie in a playoff match will be decided by
two 5 minute sudden death overtime sessions, and
penalty kicks (5 per team) if needed.
The Goal Keeper Box is defined as the
intersection of the orange lines and the black line
parallel to the goal.
Teams should have matching tops. Colored vests
will be provided for those teams
without uniform jerseys. Keepers should dress in
jerseys that contrast to the colors being worn by
either team.
The ball may be kicked forward or backward from
the center circle to begin each half and following
each goal. All members of the defensive team must
remain outside the blue
circle until the ball is in play.
Any ball contacting the wall above the shaded
grey will be ruled out. The team contacting the ball
last will be determined by the referee. The opposite
team will be
awarded a direct kick. The ball will be spotted
within 2 feet of the wall closest to the
point of going out.
A corner kick will be awarded if a kicked ball
hits a defensive player and goes out of bounds on an
end wall. The referee will determine which corner to
kick from.
A goal will be awarded when the entire ball
completely crosses the goal plane.
The goalkeeper may hold the ball up to five
seconds following a save.
The goalkeeper is the only player who can play
the ball using arms, provided that he/she is within
the box. If a player from the same team kicks the
ball to the keeper, use
of hands is illegal. If the keeper violates this
rule, the result will be an indirect kick
from the spot of the foul.
All interference fouls will result in a direct
kick being awarded to the team being fouled.
Plays deemed as dangerous, tripping, tackling or
others will result in a direct kick.
Fouls of this nature within the goal box will result
in a penalty kick.
Players ejected for unsportsmanlike conduct must
meet with the intramural director before their next
competition. All ejections carry a minimum one game
suspension. Fighting will result in suspension from
the league.
