Single elimination,
all teams with less than two forfeits will
qualify |
Rules
- Coaches will be responsible to present a line-up
5 minutes prior to the scheduled start.
- Teams may play up to 7 players at a time. Each
team must have at least 5 players to avoid
forfeiting the match.
- Equipment: Each player’s flag belt should have 3
flags. Players who tie their belt will
be ejected. Players must tuck in their shirts. Steel
cleats will not be allowed.
- Games shall consist of two 20 minute halves with
a 2 minute half-time. The clock will run
continuously during the first half. Each team will
receive a time out for the second half.
Unless a timeout is used, the clock will run
continuously up until the 2 minute warning of the
second half. After the 2 minute warning, the clock
will stop for the following: incomplete passes,
out-of-bounds, scores, first downs, and inadvertent
whistles. The clock will stop momentarily to assess
penalties.
- If a team if ahead by 17 points during the last
two minutes of the game, the game will be called.
- If the game is tied after regulation, an
overtime period will be played. Each team will
get four plays from the 10 yard line to score. If a
regular season game is still tied, it will remain a
tie.
- A team has 4 downs to reach the next “first
down” line. These lines are 20 yds apart.
- After each touchdown, teams may choose to go for
a 1 pt or 2 pt conversion. 1 point
conversions will be placed at the 3 yard line, while
2 pointers will be marked at the 10.
- Kickoffs (from the 20) are used only at the
beginning of each half. Every member of the
receiving team must be behind their own 40 yd line.
There are no on side kicks. If the
ball hits the receiving team and then hits the
ground, it will be dead. A kick out of
bounds carries 3 options for the receiving team:
move kickoff back 5 yds, place ball 25
yds from kickoff, or take the ball where it went out
of bounds.
-Punting: No quick kicks, the desire to punt must be
expressed before the play. Everyone must
stay still until the punter kicks the ball.
- Prior to the snap: The offense must have at
least 4 players on the line. Only 1 offensive player
can be in (horizontal) motion at a time. Once the
offensive line is set, they can not move.
The player who receives the snap must be a least 2
yds behind the center. The center
does not have to snap it between his/her legs.
- Blocking: Offensive players may screen to
provide interference for the runner or passer.
Contact will be considered a foul. The offensive
player must have position with at least
one step given to the defensive player. The player
initiating contact will be penalized.
- Any intentional or inadvertent arm action that
the runner uses which impedes a defender from
grabbing the flag, will be considered flag guarding.
A penalty will then be assessed.
- The offensive team is responsible for retrieving
the ball after each play.
