Single elimination,
top two teams from each men's A and women's
divisions, and top team from each B league
division qualify
Rules
A team must consist of 3 players in order to
start the game.
The game will consist of two twelve minute
halves of running time. There will be a two
minute halftime break.
All baskets will count as 1 point. There are no
foul shots, except for the following situations:
Any intentional foul will result in a free throw,
and any foul by the defense under 10 seconds will
result in a free throw (shoot it once time expires).
Each team will call their own fouls and
violations.
There will be a supervisor assigned to each game
to keep score and settle any disputes.
Intentional or flagrant fouls called by the
supervisor will result in the affected team being
awarded one point and the ball.
The ball must be returned past the top of the
key on each change of possession, unless the
ball is stolen or a missed shot does not hit the
rim.
The ball will be taken at the top of the key
after foul calls and other violations.
After a made basket or dead ball, the offense
must check the ball and pass it from the point.
Offensive or dead ball delays will not be
tolerated. A delay will bring a warning from the
supervisor. Subsequent violations will result in
change of possession (if the delay
is on the offense) or one point (if the delay is on
the defense). An offensive team
may only “stall” for 15 seconds on the perimeter,
and then they must make an attempt to score.
Players ejected for unsportsmanlike conduct must
meet with the intramural director before their next
competition. All ejections carry a minimum one game
suspension. Fighting will result in suspension from
the league.
