With students, our aim is twofold: to guide and inform those who are leaning toward a theological vocation, while helping those who enter non-clergy careers do so with a heightened sense of divine calling. Through course programming, career advising, and co-curricular activities, students learn to identify their charisms - their unique gifts from God - and discover what it is they have been called to become.
Curriculum
The exploration of calling begins in freshman seminar, when students are asked:
- How am I God's workmanship, created in Jesus Christ?
- What good works has God prepared in advance for me to do?
- How can I use my vocation to serve God?
The dialogue continues throughout the four years at Lee, intersecting with Lee's Leonard Center for Christian Service, and culminating with the senior capstone course, where students are asked to reflect on their majors and their calling.
