These are a few of
the academic issues facing you as you choose
from 41 undergraduate majors and 94 programs of
study at Lee University . The Office of Academic
Services is here to assist you with these and
other academic matters, so feel free to call on
us at any time.
A. Make plans now to
participate in New Student Orientation.
B. Please note the important schedule
of auditions and placement tests:
Fall 2008
Spring 2009
C. At New Student Orientation, you will receive a Registration
Appointment Card.
- You MUST bring the appointment
card with you to registration.
- At the date and time on your card,
report to the “Start Here”
station.
- As one of the first steps in the
registration process, you will meet with
an academic advisor in your major. If
you are undecided about your major, you
will meet with a specially trained
“general” advisor. During this meeting,
you will select the appropriate classes
for the semester. [NOTE: If you selected
your classes at Lee Day or during the
summer, you will not need to meet with
an advisor, but will still need an
appointment card to finalize your
registration.]
D. At Registration, we will help all
students – freshman, transfer,
international, married – to succeed in the
first week of enrollment and getting started
at Lee. If you are a freshman, or a transfer
with less than 16 hours, one of your
required classes will be GST101 Gateway to
University Success. This course is designed
to equip first-year students for success in
the Christian university community and to
acquaint students with academic, social, and
critical thinking skills necessary to
succeed in college. We are excited about the
semester and are glad that you will
be part of it!
