Using Computers

Cleveland Public Library patrons and other guests may use Squires Library computer workstations using a guest logon if they meet these criteria and follow these procedures:

Who May Use the Guest Logon

Cleveland/Bradley County Residents
You may request a Guest Logon Card if you have a valid Cleveland Public Library Card (CPL) with a $0.00 balance and no overdue materials (at either library).

Visitors
You may request a Guest Logon Card if you do not live in Bradley County and are a VISITOR and can present a valid out of county Driver’s License.

Children
Parents can sign out a Logon for Children under 14 years of age (Logon cards will not be issued without a parent present). Older children should have your own CPL card. Lee/Seminary faculty and staff family may be exempted from this.

How to Obtain a Guest Logon

Cleveland/Bradley County Residents
At the Circulation Desk, you should present your CPL card. Circulation attendant will scan the barcode in Voyager (regular reserve item checkout procedure). If you have NO CHARGES or OVERDUE MATERIALS against your card, a Guest Logon Password card will be charged out to you.

Visitors
If you are a visitor, you will present your Driver’s License and sign on the clipboard for the password card. An active/correct address and telephone number must be given to the assistant.

Headphone Checkout
You may also checkout headphones, one per person.

NOTE:
If there are questions or special cases, the Student Assistant will call a Supervisor for help.

Limitations in Usage

Only one computer Logon is permitted for each password signed out. (BE AWARE THAT SHARING IS NOT PERMITTED AND FUTURE LIBRARY PRIVILEGES MAY BE LOST.)

2 Hour Usage
The password is for 2 hour usage. After that time, a fine of $1 per hour for overdue Logon card and/or headphones will appear on the account.

Log Off and Return Password Card
You are responsible to log off computer and return the password card to the Circulation Desk.

Limited Number of Guest Password Cards
Library reserves the right to limit number of logon password cards checked out at a given time, dependent on the student demand for computers at that time.

Appropriate Use of Computers
ANY PATRON OBSERVED VIEWING INAPPROPRIATE MATERIALS WILL BE ASKED TO LOG OFF IMMEDIATELY AND LEAVE THE LIBRARY. (Be aware that future Library privileges may be lost.)

Return Procedure
When you return the Guest Logon Password Card and headphones to the Circulation Desk, the assistant will check in the items.
