This guide gives information about computer policies and accessing online services. For questions regarding any of these services or for assistance in locating information, call the Reference Desk (423) 614-8562.
 

Computer Policies

Computers and Connection Available

The Library's computer workstations, located on the main and lower levels, are all connected to the Internet. Students, faculty, and staff may check out laptop computers from the Circulation Counter. Headphones are also available for checkout from the Circulation Counter.

Wireless access is available on all three floors of the Library.

The Library has one workstation located in the Reference Area that is reserved for patrons who use wheelchairs. The desk is high enough to accommodate most chairs. If assistance is needed in using the computer or to locate materials, please stop by the Reference Desk.

Using Library Computers

Lee University Students

To use computers, Lee students log on using your campus account username and password. If you have problems with your account, contact the University Help Desk located on the lower level of the Library: (423) 614-8027 or helpdesk@leeuniversity.edu.

Printing is included in your technology fee paid at registration. If you use up your allotted number of pages, pay for more pages at the Lee University Help Desk located on the lower level.

Theological Seminary Students

To use computers, Seminary students log on using your firstnamelastname and your Library barcode. If you have any problems accessing your account, contact the University Help Desk at (423) 614-8027 or helpdesk@leeuniversity.edu.

Some printing is included in your account. If you use up your allotted number of pages, pay for more pages at the Lee University Help Desk located on the lower level. Extra printing is $.05/page.

Faculty and Staff

To use computers, faculty and staff log on using using your campus account username and password. If you have any problems accessing your account, contact the University Help Desk at (423) 614-8027 or helpdesk@leeuniversity.edu.

To print, consult the Reference Desk.

Other Patrons

Please sign up for a temporary "guest login" at the Circulation Counter, by presenting a current Cleveland Public Library Card or photo ID each time. Computer use is limited to 2 hours per session.

Misuse of computers may result in the suspension of computer privileges. For the Library's computer use policies, see Computer Policies above.

Printing costs $.05. Before printing, pay at the Lee University Computer Help Desk located on the lower level.

Printing

Black and white printers are located on the main level in the Reference Area and on the lower level at the bottom of the right stairway. For more information about printing and printing problems, see Using Library Computers above or Printing in the Library.

Photocopiers

Black and white photocopiers are located on all three levels of the Library.
Copies are $.10 per copy. The photocopiers will take dollar bills and change. If needed, change can be made at the Circulation for larger bills. The copiers have an automatic feed feature. They will also reduce, enlarge, and print on both sides of the page ($.10 per side).

Color photocopiers are available locally.
The Library does not offer a color photocopier at this time.
Color copies can be made at:
Staples, 4375 Keith Street, near Wal-Mart (423) 478-0076. Cost: $.49 self-service - 8.5 x11 inch paper.
The UPS Store
, 114 Stuart Rd., (423) 478-1141. Cost: $.39 - 8.5x11 inch paper/ $.49 - 8.5x14 inch paper.

Scanner

The Library offers a scanner for use in the Reference area free-of-charge. Users are free to use the scanner on a first-come-first-serve basis.

The scanner has the capability to scan documents as an image, but it cannot be used to scan text so that it can be edited.

All scanner use must comply with University's Computer Policies.

Microfilm and Microfiche Reader-Printers
Microfilm and microfiche reader-printers are available in the Periodicals Room. Copies are $.10. To receive change for dollar bills, consult the Circulation Counter.

Campus Fax Machine

At the present the Library does not own a public use fax machine. To fax materials, you may go to the Lee University switchboard (Higginbotham Administration Building) or to Staples.
