A new Lab Manager was appointed recently: Steven Falls is our first full-time manager, and his work day is primarily focused on all things lab.

We now have automatic notifications when a computer or printer goes down. This really reduces the response time! Hip, hip hooray for timely trouble-shooting, paper fills and toner replacements!

The current set up allows for both lab worker and our Help Desk to help students remotely. This simply means the technician assisting the students can do so in real time; this greatly reduces response timem, and keeps the labs at maximum functionality.

Chris Golden, our Assistant Director for IS&T Operations, summed it all up by saying, “Making Steven’s sole purpose to manage our labs has greatly aided in making the overall lab experience enjoyable for students and professors alike.”
