The university does not provide medical and accident coverage. However, students are strongly encouraged to have personal insurance coverage. Insurance information is available in the LUHC. Medical coverage and associated detail is strictly left to the discretion of the student and the providing company. Those students with HMO’s are encouraged to contact their primary physicians ahead of time to establish LUHC as a out of state provider. Private applications for student insurance can be picked up at the Health Clinic.
Check with your parental insurance to make sure it is in effect out of your state, or out of your network area.
