Men's Tennis Outlook

The 2010-2011 edition of the Lee Men's Tennis team is a much more seasoned team than last year's squad. With three freshmen in the top six last year, the Flames had to experience competitive tennis at a different level than they had previously been accustomed to encountering. This year's group ranges from older, more experienced players, to younger players poised to make a contribution early.

Senior player Zach Smith will be the men's team captain again this year. He is joined by fellow senior Vicente Nudman.

Michael Yokosuk and Renan Molineiro represent the junior class on this year's squad, and both are coming off solid performances in the 2010 spring season.

Sophomores Fabio Medina and Marcello Martinelli are ready to build on their year of experience and continue to develop as they have a great 2011 spring season.

The Flames welcome two newcomers to this year's team, freshmen Andre Ishida and Richard Gamble. Andre hails from São Roque, Brazil and brings extensive tournament experience with him to Lee. Richard is from Harrison, Tennessee, and is currently ranked at the top of the USTA ranking in singles and doubles in Tennessee.

The 2010-2011 Flames tennis team is ready for all the training and hard work that will be involved to make this a successful season, with the goal of finishing the season with a trip to Mobile in May.
