Lee University Registrar Policy for Global Perspectives Trips
(Questions regarding this form should be directed to the Records Office at 423/614-8201)
3-Part Required Form- Department Secretaries, Records office, and Business Office
- This form replaces the need to record courses and trip participants on SharePoint as last year.
- Please use this form so all information is submitted in a uniform format.
- All Global Perspectives Trip Proposals (which include courses to be offered on the trip) are due in the Global Perspectives Office on 08/31/10. At this same time, Sections 1 and 2 on the Trip Details Form can be completed and given to your departmental secretary so that trip courses can be created.
- Student recruitment should be completed by 0/29/10. At this time, Trip Directors should provide this completed form (all three sections) to Carolyn Williams in the Records Office for trip registration.
- A copy of this completed (all three sections) should also be delivered to Kristy Harner in the Business office.
Required ANTH 200 Prerequisite
Trip Directors are responsible for verifying all trip participants have successfully completed the ANTH 200 Global Perspectives Seminar prerequisite as well as any other prerequisites to courses offered on the trip.
Revisions to Trip Courses and Student Schedules
If revisions need to be made to the
trip courses, Trip Directors should submit a Schedule Revision Form using the normal process to revise any course, beginning with your departmental secretary, so that the revisions can be approved by the proper channels and updates records in Colleague.
If revisions need to be made to the
students attending (add/delete participants) or to the courses they are taking (registrations), Trip Directors should make a copy of the original form, complete with all course/student information, and indicate with red pen the changes. The revised form should be given to Carolyn Williams in the Records Office and a copy given to Kristy Harner in the Business Office.
Please do not send changes in an email; reading and deciphering which is the old and which is the new info is extremely difficult in an email.
Records Office Communication
Since students are often unaware of the many combinations of courses on trips and quite easily become confused about the trip offerings, please do not send students to the Records Office to make adjustments. The Trip Director should communicate personally with Carolyn Williams regarding desired changes.
