Lee University’s
Communication and the Arts Department will once again be offering their annual
Art and Drama Day Camps June 16-27, 2008. The two-week camps are offered to all
local students, ages 7 to 18 interested in learning more about art and drama.
The camps will be divided into morning and afternoon sessions allowing students
to register for one or both camps.

Professor of Art John Simmons, will provide students with a variety of media and
techniques appropriate for all ages. The classes will be led by professional art
teachers, and, at the end of the camp, students will have the chance to display
their work in the Dixon Center Lobby on Friday evening, June 27.

of Drama, Dr. Christine Williams, as they learn important theatrical skills. In
addition to putting together a one-act theatrical production, participants will
receive practical instruction in improvisation, mime, and a variety of vocal
techniques.
Participants will be involved in all aspects of doing two
one-act plays and end the two weeks with a public performance on Friday evening,
June 27. Students of any level of experience will be enriched by this day camp.
