Academic Advising

Advisors are available 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday with the exception of the noon hour, holidays, and Chapel at 10:30-11:30am on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The student is required to have at least one advising session with an advisor before completion of any part of the last forty semester hours of course work. However, having advising sessions throughout the program will be to the student's advantage and will be welcomed by the advisor.

Definitions of Advising Sessions:

  1. A personal meeting with an advisor to discuss the student's program.
  2. A telephone conversation with an advisor.
  3. For foreign students who are prohibited by cost from complying with items 1 and 2 an advising session by letter will be permitted.
  4. Email.

Address all requests for advising to the assigned faculty advisor via email or postal mail (Lee University, CAPS, 100 Eighth Street NE, Cleveland, Tennessee 37312)

Degree progress can be monitored online through Portico/Web Advisor.

Additionally, student support services are available, and include mentoring assistance for Independent Study questions concerning course work.

Advisors may be reached by calling (423) 614-8370, or 1-800-256-5916, or by emailing CAPS@leeuniversity.edu.
