Extension classes are offered (in a classroom setting) at various off-campus locations for students who are unable to attend sessions on campus. The classes are taught by instructors who have an accredited degree in the discipline in which they teach. These classes qualify for resident credit. Dr Summerlin plays the piano and volunteers in her church orchestra. She and her husband of 28 years, Terry, have two sons, Nicholas and Justin. She is also the proud grandmother of Mason, 9; Morgan, 3; and Maddox, 6 months.
