Accreditation

Lee University is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (1866 Southern Lane; Decatur, Georgia 30033-4097; telephone: 404-679-4501) to award bachelor's degrees and master's degrees. Teacher Education programs are approved by the Tennessee State Department of Education for licensure. The School of Music is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music (11250 Roger Bacon Drive, Suite 21; Reston, Virginia 20190; telephone: 703-437-0770). Lee also holds membership in the American Council on Education, the Council of Independent Colleges, the Tennessee College Association, the Tennessee Association of Independent Colleges and Universities, the Council of Christian Colleges and Universities, and the Appalachian College Association.

Relative to the Center for Adult and Professional Studies, memberships in professional organizations include the Association of Continuing Higher Education (ACHE) and the Association of Christian Continuing Education Schools and Seminaries (ACCESS).
