Graduation Ushers |
Graduation Usher Information Sheet
Students are needed in the campus
ministries office who would like to
utilize their gifts to serve as ushers
for regular chapels throughout the
semester. This position includes a
scholarship offered through the campus
ministries office and is paid monthly
directly to the student. The ushers who
are hired for this position are also
given the opportunity to serve
additional hours at concerts and special
events throughout the semester. Ushers
are also required to work graduation for
the semester for which they have been
hired. Please complete the application
and bring to the campus ministries
office with the necessary attached
paperwork.
Additional ushers are needed for each
graduation. These are called “Graduation
Ushers” and are in addition to the
regular ushers serving for the entire
semester. Please complete the
application and bring to the campus
ministries office with the necessary
attached paperwork.
Dates Required:
- Thursday December 14, 2006 at
10:30 AM: A one-hour informational
meeting about ushering for
graduation. This meeting is held in
the Conn Center.
- Friday Evening December 15,
2006: Approximately four hours of
work will be required
- Saturday Morning December 16,
2006: Approximately four hours of
work will be required.
- A free breakfast will be
available before work begins on this
day.
This is a total of 9 hours. You will
receive your check approximately 1-2
weeks after graduation.
Dress Code:
- This is a very formal event.
Black slacks or skirt and white
collared dress shirt are required
for Friday evening and Saturday
morning. Since this a formal event,
it is necessary to wear somewhat
dressy black shoes. If you need to
wear tennis shoes or flip flops
going and coming to the stadium or
to the Conn Center, then that is
fine, but for the event itself, no
flip flops, tennis shoes, or bare
feet will be allowed.
Forms Required:
- Complete and submit a signed
W-4 form.
- Complete and submit a
signed
I-9 form.
- Provide name, email address,
telephone number, and social
security number in the
Graduation Usher Application.
- Provide identification cards (
i.e. United States Passport or
Driver’s License and Social
- Security Card --cannot use a
“999” number, must be a number
issued by the Social Security
Administration). Copies will be made
of the forms of identification.
