Career Liftoff Interest Inventory
What is Career Liftoff?
The Career Liftoff® Interest Inventory (CLII) is a new,
state-of-the-art tool that assesses the interests of
individuals and compares those to the interest profiles
of various career fields. Respondents indicate the
extent to which they enjoy performing a wide range of
activities. Individuals have a high likelihood of being
satisfied in a career if their interest scores are high
in that CLII career field. Remember, Career Liftoff is
an INTEREST inventory, not a skills assessment.
The
CLII is organized around the RIASEC model defined by
John L. Holland in his Theory of Careers. This model
organizes the world of work around six distinct
categories of interests by classifying jobs according to
their alignment with these six career types:

- Enterprising
- Conventional

Benefits of taking Career Liftoff:
Once you've taken the CLII you will have a foundation to
explore jobs that fit your interests! The CLII is much
like having a compass if you are lost in the woods. It
can help you find the right direction but that's just
the beginning. Once you have a direction you can begin
to look at other variables such as your strengths,
values, motivations, skills, etc. BUT first you must get
out of the woods....
“So, how do I take Career Liftoff?”
 Career Liftoff is free to Lee students (only $9.95 for
alumni). Visit the Center for Calling & Career, located
on 15th street, adjacent to the tennis courts or call
614-8630 for an appointment where you will receive your
individual login code and password.
After you've completed the CLII, your report will be
sent to the Center for Calling & Career, where a staff
member is available to discuss the results with you.
This on-line report provides a list of occupations,
including new and emerging ones, from your top areas of
interest. We hope/believe that this experience will set
you on the path of a meaningful career journey....
