Athletic Trainers
|
|
Athletic Training is a health care profession in the
field of sports medicine that specializes in the
prevention, emergency care, evaluation, and
rehabilitation of athletic injuries. The Lee athletic
training staff spends their time rehabilitating injured
athletes in the athletic training room and covering
athletic practices and games. The athletic training room
is equipped with a number of modalities to expedite the
healing process. These tools include: electrical
stimulation, ultrasound, lumbar and cervical traction,
inversion table, whirlpools, and a total gym. Lee
University offers an accredited athletic training major
that provides students with practical “hands on”
experience while undergoing a rigorous classroom
curriculum. Students assist the staff with athlete’s
rehabilitation and receive “on the field” experience at
event coverage. For information regarding the Athletic
Training Education Program please visit our Athletic
Training web site
