Below you will find many useful tools to help you in registering for your DAL courses. Included is important registration information for new and returning undergraduate and graduate students, course schedules, the DAL 2014-2015 Academic Calendar, and self-registration instructions. For further information, please contact our Enrollment Services Office at 423-614-8370 or dal@leeuniversity.edu.

    Undergraduate

    New Students

Upon acceptance to the Division of Adult Learning (DAL), an initial advisor will construct a schedule for new students and register them for their courses. During this process, the initial advisor will evaluate any previous coursework completed at other institutions to ensure they receive credit where possible. The schedule will then be emailed to the new student. This initial schedule is simply a recommended schedule and may be adjusted by the student anytime prior to the start of classes.

Once a student’s initial schedule is developed, he or she is assigned a permanent academic advisor. This advisor will continue to work with the student to enroll him or her in future sessions. The DAL offers convenient annual enrollment, making it possible for students to enroll for an entire academic year at once (fall through summer).

    Returning Students

Returning students work with their academic advisors to schedule their courses and enroll for an entire academic year. This annual enrollment simplifies the registration process for our students, requiring them to contact their advisors only once per year to enroll in all of their courses.

Enrollment Verification: Course Check-In and Down Payment

Students are required to verify their enrollment prior to the start of each session, by checking in to each of their courses. Enrollment verification is a two-step process achieved when students make the required annual $225 down payment (unless covered by financial aid), and check in to their online classroom.

    Down Payment
Students are required to make a down payment of $225 for the academic year in which they are enrolling. Students receiving financial aid may find that this fee is covered if they are receiving an award amount which exceeds their total bill. Students should contact the Financial Aid Office with questions concerning this coverage.

    Check-In
Students must check in to each of their online courses to verify enrollment. Course check-in is usually available one week prior to the start date of the class, and may be completed through Moodle. Once all of the steps have been completed, the student will receive a confirmation message and all eight of their course units will be visible.

    Graduate

    New Students

Upon acceptance to the Division of Adult Learning (DAL), an initial advisor will register the new graduate student for the entire program, based on the emphasis chosen.

Once a student’s initial schedule is developed, he or she is assigned a permanent academic advisor. This advisor will continue to work with the student to enroll him or her in future sessions. The DAL offers convenient annual enrollment, making it possible for students to enroll for an entire academic year at once (fall through summer).
