Evaluations for Foreign Credentials

Lee University encourages applications from international students who have attended other institutions. In order to assure that each student receives full credit for all transfer academic work, all transcripts from international institutions will be evaluated by World Education Services (WES). Before arriving to Lee each student should submit their previous academic work to WES. The website is www.WES.org. WES has different requirements for the various countries. Therefore, the student should refer to the website and follow the specific instructions for their country. The $160 fee is the responsibility of each student.

Upon acceptance to the university, all international transfer credits will be added to the Lee transcript only from the WES evaluation. If the student is unable to submit their transfer work to WES for evaluation before arriving at Lee, the student may visit the Records Office for assistance with this process. After a preliminary review of the international transcript, the student will be placed in classes which seem most appropriate. If the WES evaluation is received before the end of the registration period, class assignments may be changed to better fit the academic achievements. However, if the WES evaluation is received after the registration period has ended, the student will be required to remain in the selected class placements.
