The guitar ensemble at Lee University was instituted in the fall 2003 semester and is coached by Andrew Linton . The ensemble is open to and consists of music majors whose primary instrument is the classical guitar. The ensemble gives students the opportunity to learn literature that has been both composed/arranged for classical guitar. Presently, the ensemble exists as a trio but will consist of duos, trios, and quartets as the guitar program, and ensemble develops.
As the newest instrumental ensemble at Lee, the guitar ensemble performs both original and arranged works for multiple guitars.  The ensemble performs on the Lee University campus at various points throughout the semester.  Though not required, this ensemble is strongly suggested for all classical guitar majors.
