Major Requirements

By the beginning of the junior year, each student should select one subject area from our wide selection of degrees as his or her major field of study (sometimes called the specialty area), and shall complete no fewer than 36 semester hours as his/her major area requirement.

1. A minimum cumulative average of 2.0 must be maintained in the major area (2.5 in teacher education programs & athletic training education program).
2. All transfer students must earn at least six semester hours in their major area while in residence at Lee University.
3. Business majors must earn 15 hours in their major area at Lee University, 6 at the upper level.

Students desiring to apply transfer work or work done through correspondence or continuing education to a major program must have the written permission of the chairperson of the department in which that work is to be applied.
