    Michael E. Fuller, PhD
    Professor of Early Judaism
    and Biblical Studies

    Fuller joined Lee’s faculty in 2000. He received his PhD in Early Judaism/New Testament from the University of Durham (Durham, England).

    His areas of interest and academic research include the following: issues in Early Jewish Judaism and Christianity; apocalypticism in Early Judaism; the Enochic literature; Sibylline Oracles (books 3-5); and issues in Luke-Acts and Revelation.

    Fuller’s has published a monograph entitled The Restoration of Israel: Israel’s Re-Gathering and the Fate of the Nations in Early Jewish Literature and Luke-Acts (Walter de Gruyter, 2006), as well as other noteworthy essays and translations.

    Fuller is an active member of the Society of Biblical Literature (SBL) and the American Academy of Religion (AAR). He is the co-chair of the Judaism Section for the Southeastern Regional body of SBL/AAR.

    He is married to Shelia Boland Fuller (Lee University alum, 1987), and they have two children, Abbey and Eliot. They are active members of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Cleveland, TN.
