Admissions Requirements for...

Master’s Degree

Educational Specialist Degree

  • Graduate Studies Application
  • Master’s degree from an accredited institution (Submit official graduate and undergraduate transcripts.)
  • Minimum grade point average of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale
  • Miller Analogies Test (MAT website) of Graduate Records Examination (GRE website) aptitude scores taken within the last 10 years
  • Recommendations from three professional sources including one from a graduate professor or current supervisor or employer
  • Acceptable interview with the Graduate Education Committee
  • Writing sample to be assessed by the Graduate Education Committee
  • Current Resume
     

International Student Requirements

  • In addition to the admission requirements, international applicants must submit scores from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and a Notarized Affidavit of Support. These items must be submitted to the Graduate Office before application will be considered.

Non-Degree Seeking Students

  • Complete pages two and three of program application
  • Official transcripts of all undergraduate and graduate work
  • $25 application fee (non-refundable)

Immunization Requirements

All accepted students born after January 1, 1957 must provide proof of 2 MMR vaccinations given after 12 months of age and tuberculin PPD skin test taken within a year from the date of application. This information should be submitted to the Lee University Health Clinic upon acceptance. For more information, you may contact the Health Clinic at (423) 614-8430.
