MAT/GRE Information

All applicants to the Masters Program or the Educational Specialist Degree must submit test scores from either the Miller Analogies Test (MAT) or the Graduate Record Examination (GRE). These test scores must be taken within the last ten years.

Miller Analogies Test

The MAT is a high level mental ability test that requires problem solving using analogies. Research suggests that using analogies is a good measure of verbal comprehension and analytical thinking. To acquire further information and sign up to take the MAT, visit the Miller Analogies Test website and also examine the Candidate Information Booklet, also viewable at that same website.

Graduate Record Examination

The GRE is a test that measures verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, critical thinking, and analytical writing skills. To acquire information and sign up to take the GRE, visit the Educational Testing Services GRE Website.

Please Note

All GRE and MAT information is current as of August, 2008. However, all applicants are responsible for scheduling their tests and submitting score reports to the relevant schools and/or agencies. Please consult the above websites for the most current information.
