    Amanda Jones is a Lecturer in Mathematics with a focus on core math classes, including Introduction to Statistics and Contemporary Mathematics. Prior to Lee, she taught Algebra and Geometry at Cleveland High School and Calculus and Introduction to Mathematical Analysis at Clemson University, where she earned her master's degree in mathematical sciences. Her research is in applied mathematics, specifically in the linear programming area of operations research.


    Jones is the director of the Mathematics Tutoring Center that is staffed by successful undergraduate mathematics and mathematics education majors.  The Tutoring Center gives the majors an opportunity to be compensated for tutoring in their field, and is a resource without cost to any student enrolled in a Lee University mathematics course.
