    Pamela Hobbs, lecturer in health science, has been a clinical instructor for physical therapy students since May 2009 at Skyridge Medical Center. She has held numerous positions in the physical therapy profession as well as working at Emory University as a Research Specialist. She served on the faculty Senate and preparation committee for SACSCOC accreditation while at the University of South Alabama, and has presented at numerous continuing education workshops and seminars. She is a licensed physical therapist in the states of Florida and Tennessee. She earned her Master of Public Health and her Master of Science from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and her Bachelor’s from Middle Tennessee State University.

     

    At Lee, Hobbs is the sponsor of the service club Zeta Chi Lambda, and she is involved in the Summer Studies in Medical Missions Program.  Because of her background as a physical therapist, she advises students in the Health Science Pre-Physical Therapy tract. Hobbs research interests include health behavior and health promotion in the clinic and in the community.
