Minors


History
The history minor (18 hours) is designed for those interested in pursuing fields, disciplines and professions in which historical knowledge plays a significant role. Any 18 hours of history will fulfill the requirements of this minor.

Political Science
The Political science minor (18 hours) is a sequence of courses intended to prepare students for graduate work, law school, public administration, or other occupations which require a strong political science emphasis. The minor requirements include POL 255 and 15 hours of elective courses. 

Humanities
The Humanities minor (18 hours) is intended to provide the student with a well-rounded knowledge of various aspects of western culture including art, literature, history, music, and philosophy. The minor requirements are HUMN-201, 202, 301, and 302 and six hours of Humanities electives.

Art
The Studio Art Minor requires 6 hrs Art History; ARTS-211 (Drawing I) and 9 hours of any art studio electives. The Computer Design Minor requires 6 hrs Art History/ ARTS-216 & 9 hours of computer graphic electives. These minors are designed to give a student in-depth exposure to an additional field besides their major. They are not designed to prepare a student for a chosen field or occupation but to augment other fields of study or occupations where they would be of relative importance or interest.
