Requirements
PPST (Basic Skills Test)
- Required for admission to the Teacher Education program.
- Students with the following ACT/SAT scores are exempt from this exam: ACT 21/Enhanced ACT 22/ SAT 920/ Recentered SAT 1020

Praxis II Exam (formerly known as National Teacher Exam)
- Required of Teacher Education graduates; includes a general knowledge test and subject area tests in literature, composition, and pedagogy.

- English Language and Literature
- English Language, Literature, and Composition: Content Knowledge
- English Language, Literature, and Composition: Essays
- English Language, Literature, and Composition: Pedagogy

Major Field Test
Register for this discipline-specific test in the spring of the senior year.

GRE (Graduate Record Exam)
- This test is not required for graduation. Many graduate schools, however, require this exam. It includes general knowledge and discipline sections.
- GRE Online - provides information on both general and subject tests.
